About

HI there!  My name is Bridget.

I graduated from William and Mary this past May, started working in June, and recently passed my Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. I work in a branch office of Securities America, Inc., in Williamsburg, Virginia. Our firm is called W. B. Jackson & Associates.

Bruce, my mentor, is our firm’s senior financial advisor. He has been in the financial services industry for 31 years now. It’s great for me because any question that I might have (which I do), he can answer.  Having him as a resource makes me that much more confident going into client meetings.

Louis, another junior advisor at the firm, has been in the the business for 5 years now. Louis and I were given the unique opportunity to be in Bruce’s mentor-ship program and we are excited to work with an experienced professional in the field. We aren’t expected to know everything- but we are like librarians in the sense that we know where to go to get the answer.

I decided to call this blog Finance & Frosting because outside of work I love to bake! A favorite pastime of mine is watching Cake Boss. Everything looks so good! For me there’s nothing better than coming home from a stressful day at work and baking bread, a cupcake, or some cookies.

I have two kittens at home. They will be making guest appearances on my posts- they love to watch me bake and stare at the oven!

I hope my blog helps other young professionals like myself navigate the world of finance and share some delicious treats I whip up along the way. If you have any questions (finance or frosting related), please don’t hesitate to contact me directly at bcchesney@wbjackson.com.
